About the role
Tessera is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, and ensure the efficient performance of a wide range of operations equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for installation, repairs and troubleshooting steam or high-temperature water systems malfunctions.
- Cookordinate preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to guide repairs and maintenance.
- Responsible for directing and guiding installs and programing of thermostats.
- Communicates and interacts directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Makes difficult diagnoses and suggests solutions and repairs to customer.
- Ensures completed work meets quality control standards.
- Aids in orienting and training new employees and assists in work assignments.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum 3 years of Stationary Engineer experience.
- Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
Qualifications
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
