Stationary Engineer I

About the role

This position is designed to provide routine maintenance and preventive maintenance of the boilers, chillers, all central plant equipment, the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to provide a safe and healthful environment. The primary proficiency of this position is power plant operation. Other responsibilities include those of general maintenance (i.e., filter changing, maintenance and repair to wheel chairs/gurneys, electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing).

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and preventive maintenance of the boilers, chillers, all central plant equipment, the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
• Provide a safe and healthful environment

• General maintenance tasks such as filter changing, maintenance and repair to wheel chairs/gurneys, electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance and safety testing

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver License
• Certified Stationary Engineer Certificate
• Five years experience in hospital power plant operations or equivalent combination of training and experience
