Stationary Engineer
About the role
Maintains hospital buildings, plant engineering equipment in a safe, inhabitable, and workable condition relative to heat, light, power, air conditioning, and other broad environmental factors. Repairs and maintains equipment, performs routine general maintenance, and overhauls or replaces components while conducting preventive maintenance procedures with minimal assistance from the Plant Manager. Performs shift Engineer duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all engineering plant equipment. Ensures the quality of services rendered by the Facilities Department in alignment with the hospital's mission statement and SPIRIT values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain hospital buildings and plant engineering equipment for safety and functionality.
- Repair and maintain equipment, including overhauling and replacing components.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures with minimal supervision.
- Execute shift Engineer duties to ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment.
- Uphold the quality of Facilities Department services in response to customer needs.
Requirements
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of training in a trade apprenticeship program, industrial program, commercial, or hospital industry in fields such as Electrical, HVAC, or Boiler Operations.
- Knowledge of building management systems.
- Required: SENG - Stationary Engineer certification.
- Fleet safety certification required.
Pay
Pay Range: $34.18 to $51.27 per hour, based on experience.
