Stationary Engineer
About the Role
As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our facility's critical mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring continuous functionality for all building occupants. You will maintain a stable and comfortable environment while optimizing energy and system reliability. Daily tasks include monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting complex HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and power generation systems, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, maintaining precise logs, responding to alarms and emergencies, and collaborating with other facilities personnel to ensure peak efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders per standard indicated on work order.
- Take readings and perform mechanical rounds checks within the designated time frame; report any discrepancies immediately to supervisor.
- Operate and maintain all related boiler operations and equipment, including fuel switching.
- Respond and perform appropriately to emergency situations as they occur.
- Adhere to sterile dress codes in related areas when required.
- Operate and maintain all related HVAC equipment.
- Practice the safe operation of equipment and use all safety equipment as appropriate.
Requirements
- 4 years of overall experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Universal CFC Certification/REFRIG Certification.
Qualifications
- Valid Stationary Engineer license.
- Extensive experience in operating and maintaining large-scale building systems.
- Profound understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) principles.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to safety.
- Preferred: Associate of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or related field.
- Preferred: 2 years of hospital experience upon hire.

Pay
$68.26/hour.
