Station Mechanic Days

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic assists the maintenance department with plant maintenance tasks, including repairs of equipment, property, and the building. They also support station mechanics and operators in their basic functions of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Aid in necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building.
• Maintain accurate communication with other mechanics and departments.
• Support station mechanics and operators in their basic functions of machinery and equipment.
• Effectively use electrical testing equipment.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate these to supervisor or lead person.
• Initiate and conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision.
• Maintain shop 5s policies and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Pass a Prove It test.
• Two years' experience in maintenance field preferred.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in analyzing, evaluating, and solving mechanical problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.

The shift is Monday-Saturday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
