About the role
The Station Manager at FEAM Aero is responsible for leading the maintenance operations of a line station, ensuring customer requirements are met and schedules are maintained. They also oversee the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and alteration of aircraft, manage staff qualifications and training, and enforce company policies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates all line station and service check maintenance to meet customer requirements and maintain schedules.
- Affirms that personnel under their management adhere to company safety practices.
- Safeguards the fulfillment of customer staffing and material needs in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensures proper documentation of equipment, materials, and manpower time for billing purposes.
- Coordinates efforts among managers, supervisors, leads, and technicians for maintenance tasks.
- Establishes material support requirements for their area of responsibility.
- Maintains the repair station in a clean and organized manner.
- Manages operational expenses and budgets, ensuring they stay within set goals.
- Guarantees that personnel under their supervision are adequately qualified, trained, and sufficient in number.
- Maintains the company's turnover log according to policy.
- Ensures compliance with FAA/CFR rules and regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
- Enforces company policy and takes disciplinary action as necessary.
- Ensures adherence to customer operating procedures and manuals, including fueling, de-icing, and other special procedures.
Requirements
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior leadership experience in a line station environment.
Qualifications
- Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to frequently stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the awareness that they will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts to include nights and weekends to meet customer demand.
- Must have prior leadership experience in a line station environment.
