Station Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage full Ocean Freight P&L for the station, driving gross profit and cost control
- Deliver productivity targets and optimize operational efficiency
- Partner with Sales to drive local growth, customer retention, and upsell opportunities
- Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements (import/export, customs, commodity and trade lanes)
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to meet targets
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using DHL performance tools
- Act as a key escalation point for customer issues and complex requests
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and improve satisfaction
- Proactively monitor customer feedback and implement improvements
- Optimize sourcing strategies to balance service quality and profitability
- Lead, develop, and coach a team of managers, supervisors, and specialists
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-centric culture
- Ensure teams are equipped to resolve issues effectively and independently
- Support talent development, succession planning, and resourcing needs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, sales, and functions
- Influence business decisions and drive alignment with DHL strategy
- Advise customers and partners on processes, systems, and solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in ocean freight, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
- Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience
- Ocean Freight Operations (FCL, LCL, routing, carrier management)
- Import/Export, customs and regulatory knowledge
- Commercial and financial management (budgets, GP optimization)
- Customer relationship management and escalation handling
- Supplier and stakeholder management
- Process improvement and operational excellence
- Leadership, coaching, and team development
- Communication, influencing, and negotiation
- Strong business acumen and DHL process knowledge
Pay Range
$150,637.50 - $200,850.00+ (Based on Experience)
