Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and manage GDM’s corn and soybean Operations & Testing teams at assigned sites.
- Champion the standardization of protocols, methodologies, and best practices to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of all field activities, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Design and implement benchmarking strategies to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and support a comprehensive strategy for research equipment utilization and safety.
- Promote collaboration and team cohesion among Station Managers and Research Associates.
- Manage operational (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets or allocated resources to achieve site and regional objectives.
- Champion the GDM Mission, Vision, Values in Breeding Operations and Research organizations.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce.
- Ensures adherence to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corn and soybean research management, or 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven expertise in leading teams and managing research operations.
- Significant experience in field data collection, analysis, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire).
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee performance Research Associates and seasonal workers.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new employees.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
