Twin Lakes State Park is accepting applications for a Maintenance Ranger position. Job Summary The Maintenance Ranger is responsible for performing recurring grounds care, maintenance, light construction, and cleaning tasks essential to the upkeep and operation of Virginia State Park facilities, grounds, and equipment. Key Duties And Responsibilities Clean and maintain bathhouses, day-use restrooms, campsites, any and all other facilities. Mow grass, trim weeds, and perform other general grounds keeping tasks.Remove leaves, trash, and litter from various areas throughout the park.Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.Work requires standing, bending and regular outdoor activity in varying conditions.Assist in additional maintenance and operational tasks assigned by supervisors. Minimum Qualifications Valid Driver’s License required.Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.Must be willing and capable of working in a variety of outdoor conditions.General knowledge of the use and care of common hand tools and cleaning supplies.Ability to perform routine cleaning, maintenance tasks, and other duties as assigned. Additional Considerations Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry.Experience in grounds keeping or equipment maintenanceExperience working in parks or a similar setting.
