Pocahontas State Park is accepting applications for a Mountain Bike Trail Crew Member position. Job Summary Pocahontas State Park is seeking dependable and motivated applicants who are comfortable working independently to fill the Trail Crew Member position. This individual performs the recurring grounds care, maintenance, and light construction necessary to maintain Pocahontas State Park’s Mountain biking trails. Duties include mowing grass, weed eating, trail construction and rehabilitation, sawyer work, light carpentry, and heavy equipment operation. Key Duties And Responsibilities Assist Trails Coordinator with upkeep and maintenance of Pocahontas’ three Mountain Bike Trail SystemsSupervise and assist with volunteer projects for the mountain bike trails.This position will work varying shifts and multiple weekends per month, in a primarily outdoor environment, with varied weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications Must possess a valid driver’s licenseMust be at least 18 years oldAbility to work unsupervised, independently, or in teamsGood communication skillsGeneral knowledge of hand and/or power tools.
