About the role
The Kentucky State Park Ranger Division has an opening for a State Park Ranger Sergeant in the Central Region. The counties include Grayson, Henderson, Barren, Muhlenberg, Edmonson, and Todd. This position is assigned to a home park and is responsible for law enforcement operations at that park to include but not limited to patrol, investigations, traffic control, security, and safety of guests and state property.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing State Park Ranger schedules
- Approving timecards
- Conducting performance evaluations
- Reviewing reports
- Cooking special events
- Conducting internal investigations
- Assisting the State Park Ranger Captain as required
Requirements
- 5 years of law enforcement experience as a sworn police officer
Qualifications
- Required Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) Certification
- A working knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes
- The ability to quickly learn the policies and procedures of the Kentucky State Parks and Ranger Division
- A strong work ethic and ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- The ability to use basic computer programs
- Strong verbal and written skills

Pay
Salary range: $3,600.84 - $5,401.34 Monthly
