State Capital Park Technician

About the role

The State Capitol Park Technician position within the Office of Management and Enterprise Services offers:

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and upkeep of park grounds.
• Aid the Capitol Parks Administrator in planning, scheduling, and performing various projects.
• Install and maintain landscapes, including digging, planting, and pruning.
• Operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, such as autonomous lawn mowers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, adhere to safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
• Install, repair, and maintain park irrigation systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations or repairs.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and interpret sketches and diagrams, manage tasks and work orders in CMMS/WMS, and communicate via email.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge/skills/abilities include: irrigation systems and controls, bilingual (English/Spanish), landscaping, horticulture, ornamental and forestry knowledge/experience, forklift, tractor, and powered equipment experience or certification.

Qualifications

This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. Salary is up to $50,000 based on education and experience.
