About the role
The State Capitol Park Technician position within the Office of Management and Enterprise Services offers:
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and upkeep of park grounds.
- Aid the Capitol Parks Administrator in planning, scheduling, and performing various projects.
- Install and maintain landscapes, including digging, planting, and pruning.
- Operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, such as autonomous lawn mowers.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, adhere to safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
- Install, repair, and maintain park irrigation systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or repairs.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and interpret sketches and diagrams, manage tasks and work orders in CMMS/WMS, and communicate via email.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge/skills/abilities include: irrigation systems and controls, bilingual (English/Spanish), landscaping, horticulture, ornamental and forestry knowledge/experience, forklift, tractor, and powered equipment experience or certification.

This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. Salary is up to $50,000 based on education and experience.
