Responsibilities
- Oversee state and local tax compliance and consulting engagements.
- Provide guidance on complex tax issues and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality tax solutions.
- Coach, mentor, and review work of staff and seniors; provide clear expectations, timely feedback, and tailored development plans.
- Persist with Firm Directors, Assurance, and Client Service teams to integrate SALT considerations into broader client strategies.
- Deliver internal training sessions on SALT fundamentals, legislative updates, and best practices; promote knowledge sharing and a culture of excellence.
Requirements
- CPA required.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in state and local taxation, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in CCH software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Starting compensation typically ranges from $108,000–$135,000, offered as a comprehensive package with opportunity for growth.
