Responsibilities

  • Create a detailed plan for the execution of mechanical equipment and system startup and commissioning on commercial, industrial, healthcare, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Oversee the startup of mechanical and/or plumbing equipment for all construction projects to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Review project plans and specifications, build project startup plan, make recommendations of potential cost-saving measures, and identify potential construction problems.
  • Complete job cost breakdowns, schedule of values, and review / approve project billings.
  • Work with Project Management Teams, vendors, and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules for execution of the startup and commissioning plan.
  • Review equipment submittals, construction documents & specifications, and develop project specific startup and commissioning support plan.
  • Cookordinate and hold regular project startup and meetings in conjunction with the DynaTen Project Team to implement and execute the startup and commissioning support plan effectively.
  • Coordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs, adjusting as needed.
  • Conduct and attend pre-construction and post construction meetings.
  • Manage multiple projects startup needs with varying scopes simultaneously.
  • Continuous communication with Project Team, GC, owner, and others as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation electronically.
  • Oversee and continuously monitor project site safety for all involved at the site.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others required.
  • Startup and Commissioning of projects ranging in size and scope from $25M+ preferred.
  • Experience leading direct reports required.
  • Experienced with project Testing, Balancing, and Commissioning Teams.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Required aptitude on construction.
  • A positive attitude, be professional and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player.
