Responsibilities
- Create a detailed plan for the execution of mechanical equipment and system startup and commissioning on commercial, industrial, healthcare, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing projects.
- Oversee the startup of mechanical and/or plumbing equipment for all construction projects to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Review project plans and specifications, build project startup plan, make recommendations of potential cost-saving measures, and identify potential construction problems.
- Complete job cost breakdowns, schedule of values, and review / approve project billings.
- Work with Project Management Teams, vendors, and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules for execution of the startup and commissioning plan.
- Review equipment submittals, construction documents & specifications, and develop project specific startup and commissioning support plan.
- Cookordinate and hold regular project startup and meetings in conjunction with the DynaTen Project Team to implement and execute the startup and commissioning support plan effectively.
- Coordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs, adjusting as needed.
- Conduct and attend pre-construction and post construction meetings.
- Manage multiple projects startup needs with varying scopes simultaneously.
- Continuous communication with Project Team, GC, owner, and others as needed.
- Complete all required documentation electronically.
- Oversee and continuously monitor project site safety for all involved at the site.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others required.
- Startup and Commissioning of projects ranging in size and scope from $25M+ preferred.
- Experience leading direct reports required.
- Experienced with project Testing, Balancing, and Commissioning Teams.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Required aptitude on construction.
- A positive attitude, be professional and self-motivated.
- Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player.
