About the Role
Joining the Starting Point program means supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses to achieve their personal goals. The role involves meeting clients in their homes and communities to assist them in their recovery journey. Interns will gain valuable relational skills and learn to work with an Electronic Health Record (Evolv).
Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients in their homes and communities
- Work independently with clients after the orientation period
- Engage with clients across the spectrum of mental health needs
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record (Evolv)
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree, currently pursuing a Master's degree in social work or psychology
- Valid US driver's license for at least two years, no serious traffic convictions within the past three years
- Access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration and inspection stickers
- Valid auto insurance, with the ability to provide proof as a covered driver
- Clearances required before starting the internship, including FBI Clearance, DMV Driving History Report, PA Criminal Clearance, and Child Abuse Clearance
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's degree
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in social work or psychology
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass necessary background checks

Benefits
A rate of $15/hour

Schedule
Minimum of 16 hours/week, available from 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday. No evening or weekend hours are available. This internship can be completed in one or two semesters for those needing additional academic credit.
Travel Expectations
Interns will be required to travel to clients' homes and communities as part of their work.
Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Routine work in program sites and the community, lifting or moving items associated with sedentary work and light work (up to 20 lbs.).
