About the role
ProRecruiters is seeking a Punch Press Operator to join a growing and dynamic team!
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate punch press equipment to cut, shape, and form metal components.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Load raw materials into the machine and remove completed parts.
- Inspect finished components for accuracy, defects, and proper dimensions.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Make basic machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Monitor equipment during operation and report mechanical or quality issues.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Assist with other production or metal fabrication duties as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements.
- Experience reading blueprints or production drawings is helpful.
- Basic mechanical and math skills.
- Ability to inspect parts and identify quality issues.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Pay
$18 to $22/hour
Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm (Fridays as needed)
