Responsibilities

• Manage orderly play by members and guests on the golf courses.
• Check tee sheets and direct players to the starting tee in a timely fashion.
• Inform players about daily course conditions, special playing conditions, and any general guidelines regarding play at Pinehurst each day.
• Monitor specific conditions on the courses and track the timeliness of play of Members and Guests.
• Be accessible to players for service or assistance at all times.
• Check for payment vouchers of players.
• Check for proper functioning of certain equipment in and around the golf course.
• Report faulty golf course conditions.
• Keep accurate records.
• Return abandoned carts, deliver messages, people, and equipment to the respective golf courses.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned, such as helping others when the occasion arises.

Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum three months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• The employee is frequently required to lift up to 40 pounds of weight.

Work Environment

• The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
