About the role

The Cobbs Creek Golf Club is seeking a dependable and customer‑focused Starter to welcome guests, support smooth check‑in, and ensure an exceptional golf experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing outstanding service in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance.
• Provide information regarding the golf course, play time, and other golf‑related issues.
• Deliver customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check‑in process.
• Verify that all revenues have been properly recorded by inspecting receipts for all players before they begin play.
• Keep golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play off the first tee.
• Supply guests with scorecards, pencils, and other items as needed.
• Advise guests of course conditions and expected pace of play.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (if driving golf cars or driving range equipment).
• Strong work ethic.
• Friendly personality and enjoyment of working with the public.
• Organized and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong customer/guest orientation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.
