We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Ideal candidates are friendly and organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Golf Course Starters provide guest services by guiding players to the first tee at appropriate times and controlling a smooth pace of play on the golf course. Beginners are welcome – while knowledge of golf is preferred, previous Golf Course Starting experience is not required for the position. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license (if driving golf cars or driving range equipment)Must have a strong work ethicMust have friendly personality and enjoy working with the publicOrganized, able to work well in fast paced environmentMust have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be dependableKnowledge about the game of golf preferred Position Responsibilities: Maintain professional appearanceProvides information regarding the golf course, play time and other golf related issuesProvides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check‐in processVerifies that all revenues have been properly recorded by inspecting receipts for all players before they begin play on the golf courseKeeps golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play off the first teeSupplies guests with scorecards, pencils and other items if neededAdvises guests of course conditions and expected pace of playImplement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by managementPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Benefits & Other Compensation: This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms: Healthcare Benefits – Medical (if determined by the ACA measurement) Retirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older) Eligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.
