Responsibilities
- Help execute new product builds from raw material across all CNC work and tool assembly
- Triage non-conforming machined components and help implement resolution and preventative actions
- Develop manufacturing standards that lead to increased consistency and reliability of the shop
- Work with the team to help developing in-house machining maintenance processes
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for yield, rate, and cost
- Use CAD and part drawings to implement work instructions and validate part quality
- Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment; OR a bachelor's degree in an engineering, math or science discipline
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of developing raw material flow through a machine shop
- 2+ years experience with a CAD program such as NX or Solidworks
- 2+ years experience with CNCs, EDMs, welding, and other manufacturing processes common in the Tool and Die industry
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- Excellent computer skills (email, Microsoft Windows, Excel)
- Able to provide process and design improvement suggestions to engineering
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be willing to work the following hours:
- 2nd shift: Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 2:00am
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
- Able to travel for business trips as needed (up to 30%)
