Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation to customers.
  • Maintain and monitor total department conditions to ensure standards are met and exceeded.
  • Handle stressful situations calmly, courteously, and tactfully, making a positive impression on associates and customers.
  • Execute and adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions.
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism and clear communication during all customer and associate interactions.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning tasks according to established standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including dress code, grooming, sanitation, and maintaining a harassment-free work environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Support and assist through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Qualifications

  • Trained and certified barista.
  • Dependable past work record reflecting integrity and dependability.
  • Prior food handling experience.
  • Supervisory skills desired.
