The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signing on the sales floor. As a Starbucks Barista, you'll provide a consistent Starbucks experience, manage food quality and freshness, and adhere to state and federal food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by prioritizing guest needs and maintaining Food & Beverage standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing.
• Support Starbucks Drive Up orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
• Engage with guests, meeting Starbucks standards and exceeding expectations.
• Prepare handcrafted beverages and food according to recipe cards.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items, following food safety requirements.
• Complete cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items.
• Place store-initiated orders to maintain accurate in-stocks.
• Follow perishable inventory procedures.
• Execute sampling best practices.
• Assist guests with product knowledge and issue resolution.
• Complete required training and certifications for Starbucks quality control.
• Uphold ethical conduct, safety, and compliance standards.
• Support guest services, including cashier duties, order pick-up, and Drive-up, ensuring compliance with beverage laws.
• Greet guests and provide assistance as needed.

Requirements

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate technology equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Remain composed in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb ladders and scan, handle, and move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in varying temperatures, from 34°F to -10°F, and environments with common allergens.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
