The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signing on the sales floor. As a Starbucks Barista, you'll provide a consistent Starbucks experience, manage food quality and freshness, and adhere to state and federal food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by prioritizing guest needs and maintaining Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, inventory accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and storing reserve products.
• Stay informed about current and future Starbucks promotions.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to ensure a consistent guest experience while maintaining food safety.
• Support Starbucks Drive Up by fulfilling digital orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area throughout the shift.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed Starbucks standards.
• Produce handcrafted beverages and food according to recipe cards.
• Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items to ensure food safety.
• Complete and record cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items.
• Place store-initiated orders to maintain accurate in-stocks.
• Follow perishable inventory procedures for accurate recording.
• Execute sampling best practices.
• Assist guests with product knowledge and issue resolution.
• Complete required training and certifications for Starbucks quality control.
• Uphold ethical conduct, safety, and compliance standards.
• Support guest services, including backup cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up, while maintaining compliance with beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.

Requirements

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cash register operations.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently, including lifting or moving items up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F.
• Work in environments with common allergens.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $17.00 USD per hour
