About the role

The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (“SLP”) is a high-profile rotational program designed to accelerate the development of future leaders. Geared toward recent graduates with Finance internship experience and a relevant business degree, this program offers a two-year opportunity to work in multiple Finance rotations across the United States. Each rotation includes project assignments that allow participants to contribute to business success while gaining familiarity with our operations.

This hybrid role begins in either New Britain, CT or Towson, MD, with in-office work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with functional business groups to ensure efficient and effective solutions that support business goals.
  • Lead projects in compliance with established business requirements, methodologies, and practices.
  • Monitor and report project status to management, identifying and addressing issues that may impact project goals.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest constructive changes.
  • Lead key Finance and Accounting projects to streamline processes and increase working capital turns.
  • Gather and report global Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
  • Present project deliverables to the Executive Team biannually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
  • Prior internships in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
  • Willingness to rotate every 6 months to a new location (primarily U.S.-based, with potential global opportunities).
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including domestic and international travel.
  • 0-3 years of professional work experience (internship experience included).
  • Must be willing to relocate for at least one rotation during the program.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $51,700.00 - $83,300.00 annually. The salary offered may vary based on job level, geographic location, skills, qualifications, experience, and local wage requirements. Eligible candidates may also receive annual merit increases and participate in additional rewards programs.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring in-office work Tuesday through Thursday. Rotations occur every 6-12 months, with potential relocation for at least one rotation.
