Standards Drafting Technician
Responsibilities
- Updates and modifies existing data files and drawings.
- Maintains files of computer and manual drawings.
- Converts manual drawings to computer-assisted environment.
- Assists engineers, technicians and others with project related work.
- Aids with material specifications and material evaluations.
- Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent related work experience.
- Four years of drafting experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Personal computer skills: E-mail, Word, Publisher and Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of electric distribution and transmission materials.
- Proficiency in work management information systems, MMIS and Adobe Acrobat.
- Technical expertise related to use of computer-assisted drafting software and related hardware.
- Microstation experience is preferred.
