About the role

Assesses training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis to identify specific requirements.
Implements pilot training sessions to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments for improvement.
Tracks training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to measure impact.
Updates training content regularly based on feedback, evolving best practices, and new information.
Encourages cross-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing to enhance learning experiences and foster teamwork.
Provides ongoing support and resources to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manages simulation program coordinators, SP coach/mentors, and administrative specialists to support standardized patient programs.
  • Oversees operational aspects of simulation-based education and scenario-based training, including program/project management, talent management, data collection and analysis, budget development, inventory management, resource management, and continuous process improvement.
  • Utilizes web-based technologies to capture, organize, and analyze data related to the full spectrum of simulation training efforts.
  • Utilizes e-learning platforms, webinars, and virtual simulations to provide flexible and accessible training options.
  • Develops tailored training programs that address the unique needs of each department and service line.
  • Engages department heads and leaders in planning to ensure training programs align with organizational goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to instruct, present and communicate effectively to all levels of staff including physicians and clinical, non-clinical and executive leadership.
  • Knowledgeable in resource management, resource allocation and constraint identification.
  • Strong knowledge of Standardized Patient methodology for healthcare education.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop budgets and track expenditures, ensuring adherence to AdventHealth spending guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Strong project and program management skills. Ability to take projects from inception to execution, acting as the liaison between hospital leadership and simulation team personnel.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead teams to accomplish goals and meet expectations.
  • Experienced in inventory management and/or logistics workflows.
  • Expertise in computer skills and desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Current knowledge of acute, hospital-based care, and national healthcare initiatives.

  • Ability to work with faculty to meet the specific learning needs of a variety of learners to bring all healthcare related simulation-based approaches together by using both solo Standardized Patient (SP) and hybrid SP models.

  • Knowledgeable in resource management, resource allocation and constraint identification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Simulation, Education, Business, Theater Arts, Technology, or applicable discipline.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Simulation, Education, Business, Theater Arts, Technology, or applicable discipline.
  • 3+ experience in project coordination and/or operations.
  • 2+ management/leadership experience.
  • 1+ simulation, training, teaching, or education experience.
  • 1+ experience in direct patient care within hospital or clinical setting.

$60,151.66 - $111,886.39
