About the role

The Roanoke, Virginia VTC School of Medicine - Instructional Programs hires Standardized Patients to simulate patients in various scenarios. They teach and assess clinical skills of medical students and other learners.

Responsibilities

• Simulate patient cases accurately and consistently.
• Teach and assess clinical skills of medical students and other learners.
• Accurately and consistently document learner performance using a computer.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and teamwork.
• Respond to email messages promptly and maintain punctuality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Professional skills: Ability to work well with a variety of people, communicate clearly and effectively, recall encounters accurately, organize work, collaborate, and be flexible.
• Basic computer skills: Email communication, document printing, and checklist documentation.
• Comfort with physical examinations by health personnel.
• Criminal conviction check required.
