Standard Products Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Independent analysis and repair of high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Troubleshoot system faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled equipment.
• Remove and replace system components to accomplish repair.
• Verify system operations and calibration after service.
• Conduct calibration and preventative maintenance service.
• Use voltage and current supplies, kilovolmeters, multi-meters, potential transformers, current transformers, and other equipment to calibrate high voltage, high current test equipment.
• Perform preventative inspection and basic lubrication of equipment.
• Create and provide quotations for stock and custom parts, and services.
• Communicate with customers as needed to assist with troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of high voltage, high current test equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Education or certification(s) in related field preferred.
• Experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics or related field.
• Proper use of electrical test equipment to include oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Troubleshooting.
• Preferred (not required): Soldering.
• Preferred (not required): Interpreting Schematics.
• Preferred (not required): Mechanical aptitude.
• Preferred (not required): Manual dexterity.

Skills

• Detail oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is preferred.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, climb step ladders, file paperwork, and use telephones.

Pay

• Hourly Pay Range Minimum $23.40 - Midpoint $29.25
• Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
