Stand Operator

About the Role

This position involves supporting print manufacturing operations, primarily focusing on press setup, paper inventory management, and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain paper roll inventory and order correct materials
• Position rolls on presses and set up splicers for continuous feed
• Participate in plate hangings and fill ink fountains
• Perform initial equipment checkouts
• Act as a secondary press operator when required
• Enter shop floor data into computer systems
• Handle hazardous waste as part of daily duties
• Monitor performance and implement improvements

Requirements

• Basic math skills and effective communication
• Dependability, responsibility, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to change
• Ability to follow instructions, make decisions, and work independently
• Previous printing experience, with at least 1 year in a press room preferred
• Proficiency in interpreting measurement units

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
