Stairwell Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Stairwell/Special Projects Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in building/facilities. This role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stairwell Cleaning
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain stairwell floors on a routine schedule.
  • Dust handrails, ledges, baseboards, and other stairwell surfaces.
  • Remove dirt, debris, cobwebs, and trash from stairwells and landings.
  • Spot clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damages to management.
• Special Project Cleaning
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by the client or supervisor.
  • Perform detailed cleaning of common areas, offices, and other designated spaces.
  • Support floor care projects, including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing as assigned.
  • Assist with high dusting, deep cleaning, pressure washing, and other specialty cleaning tasks.
  • Move and arrange light furniture or equipment as necessary to complete cleaning assignments.
  • Follow project specifications and client requirements to ensure quality results.
• General Responsibilities
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good working condition.
  • Deliver high-quality service and respond professionally to client requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions as required by cleaning projects.
• Ability to use standard janitorial equipment and cleaning products safely.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
• Preferred: 1 year of similar work experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience.
