Stage Technician - On Call

Job Description Responsible for the technical set-up requirements for all entertainment facilities of the Lake Tahoe properties. This includes load-ins, rigging, carpentry, special effects, lighting and sound. Responsibilities Operates lighting equipment such as the switchboard, spotlight and special effects.Unloads, hangs, and focuses lighting fixtures and special effects fixtures. Also unloads and sets up musical equipment.Constructs and paints physical scenic elements.Maintains fly system and rigs; maintains stage scenery, props and special effects elements.Maintains equipment such as cables, fixtures, spotters, switchboards and stage riggings.Operates shows, including setting and striking scenic elements, props, microphones, and special effect elements.CarpentryCompetent in the basic use of standard hand tools: hammer, screwdriver, tape measure, wrenchAble to assist Lead Carpenter with basic set construction techniquesActively learning and improving upon additional/advanced carpentry skills and techniquesRiggingUnderstands basic Harrah’s rigging requirements and techniques and able to assist TeamAble to evaluate the safety of any given task100% safety compliance record – always consults with an authorityIs trained and competent in operating the fly rail systemActively learning additional rigging skills and techniquesSoundAssists Sound Technicians in setting up and striking sound equipmentActively learning additional sound skills and techniquesLightingResponsible for hanging, circuiting, focusing and coloring lighting fixtures for all venuesCapable of minor repairs: replacing lamps and connectors on fixturesUnderstands the use and proper installation of data linesActively learning additional lighting skills and techniquesSpecial EffectsCapable of refilling equipment requiring fluidsUnderstands and successfully able to control density levels of fog and other similar special effectsAssists Pyrotechnician with basic set up – NOT operationUnderstands and can perform the set-up and operational check of Hydro systems (example: Night Club showers)Actively learning additional special effects skills and techniques Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentVocational or certified professional training preferredMinimum one year experience in stage or related field for level 1Minimum three years experience in stage or related field for level 2 and level 1 certifications in at least 3 of the 5 skill areasMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand English Basic knowledge of stage terminologyBasic knowledge of stage work and/or carpentryAbility to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated businessActs as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
