Staffing Specialist (hybrid from Maryland)

About the role

As a member of our dynamic Human Resources team, the Staffing Specialist will manage the full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. The Staffing Specialist collaborates with key business partners to build, establish and evolve recruiting strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of well-qualified candidates and diverse talent.

Responsibilities

• Source, attract, screen, and recommend candidates for various roles within the credit union
• Execute recruitment strategies to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent
• Proactively identify future hiring needs and develop strategies to source and attract high-quality candidates using databases, social media platforms, professional networks, job boards and community resources

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Ability to understand applicant qualifications and how they fit with the needs of the Credit Union
• Three years recruiting experience with a large organization or in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management and general accounting skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office; familiarity with computers and ability to learn new software
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment

This is a hybrid position requiring travel to branches, corporate offices, community events and job fairs in Maryland. The incumbent must be available during early morning or evening hours, as well as an occasional Saturday to interview candidates.
