Staffing/Security Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to support operational excellence behind some of the region’s premier live entertainment, athletic, and special event experiences at the iconic Colonial Life Arena (CLA) and Carolina Coliseum. From sold-out concerts and championship athletics to campus and community events, this position will assist in delivering memorable experiences for every guest who enters our venues.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects related to front and back of the house staffing for events in conjunction with Event Managers.
• Interact with contracted staffing providers and local first responder organizations to arrange for relevant event-related support.
• Oversee general adherence to best practices for event and non-event security for the arena and its clients.
• Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, retention, and supervision of event staff.
• Oversee building security.
• Interact with local public safety officials to ensure that events run safely and smoothly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and 4 or more years of job-related experience.
• An equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience may substitute for the degree and experience requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the sport and entertainment field.
