About the Role

The Technical Project Administrator plays a critical role in driving the success of a capacity increase project within Optical Fiber Cable operations. By providing expert project management and technical floor support, this position ensures seamless project execution with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance. The role directly impacts project timelines, cost control, and quality outcomes, making organizational skills, communication, and technical capabilities essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist project managers with daily tasks, organize meetings, manage safety paperwork, and oversee project correspondence.
  • Project Coordination: Maintain project schedules, track deliverables, and facilitate communication between teams, departments, and stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate project records, prepare status reports, and manage documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Technical & Floor Support: Support equipment installation, troubleshooting, inventory tracking, and material movement across plants.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor budgets, process purchase orders, and ensure resources are available for project needs.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks, escalate issues, and support implementation of contingency plans.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and quality requirements, especially in clean room environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience in project administration or related roles within manufacturing/engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools.
  • Data analysis skills using JMP or Minitab (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification (CAPM, PMP).
  • Experience in the optical cable industry.
  • OSHA Safety certification.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Work Environment

  • Hybrid setting: mix of floor and office work.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Clean room environment with emphasis on careful handling.
