About the Role
The Occupational Health Nurse III will play a critical role in supporting the health and safety of Corning employees at the Keene, NH location. This onsite position focuses on delivering timely nursing assessments, treatments, and case management for work-related and non-work-related health concerns. The nurse will ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration standards, manage medical records, and promote workplace wellness initiatives. The role requires advanced clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and experience in occupational health or acute care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, provide treatments, and create care plans for employee injuries and illnesses
- Document and maintain accurate records in line with regulatory and privacy standards
- Support the site's medical emergency response and participate in pandemic preparedness
- Manage disability and absence cases, including FMLA and return-to-work processes
- Conduct required regulatory surveillance exams and health screenings
- Coordinate with external occupational medical providers as needed
- Lead and promote health and safety programs (e.g., flu shots, fitness, smoking cessation)
- Oversee medical supply inventory and ensure readiness for emergencies
