Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED
- Licenses/Certifications: None required, but current or past CNA/HHA certification preferred or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Direct Care as CNA, PCA or HHA.
- Current Driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
Essential Functions
- Assures that cases are filled within established time frames.
- Completes documentation (paper and automated system).
- Provides appropriate notification of schedule to employee, member, supervisor, and others as appropriate.
- Assists the HR department with hiring, training, and onboarding new employees.
- Creating staffing reports and submitting weekly reports to management.
- Maintains a well-staffed and efficient scheduling services, ensuring that patients receive the necessary care and support.
- Monitors overtime and mileage approval of employees.
- Responds to emergency calls and arranges schedules accordingly.
- Affixes to staffing needs as necessary.
- Ensures that the required service visits are completed each day/week.
- Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Experience working with staffing and scheduling preferred; preferably within a home health care setting.
- Time management, organizational skills, and ability to function with minimal direction.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written), documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for personnel in home health care.
- Excellent telephone, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Computer literate or willing to be trained on a personal computer.
