Staff Visual Designer - Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Redefine and implement foundational improvements to the company’s design language for scalable product surfaces
• Collaborate with Brand and craft leaders to integrate expressive design moments into the product
• Establish and communicate high standards for design excellence across the organization
• Mentor product designers through direct feedback to enhance individual and system quality
• Coordinate with design systems and engineering teams to ensure effective translation of visual decisions into components
• Represent design systems and visual craft to leadership across Brand, Engineering, and design teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in visual design with expertise in typography, color systems, and iconography
• Diverse portfolio showcasing foundational design and high-craft visual work
• Ability to articulate design success with conviction and clarity
• Experience coaching or mentoring fellow designers
• Strong systems thinking for balancing expressive design with scalable solutions
• Proficient stakeholder management to gain executive buy-in on design initiatives
• Strong communication skills to advocate for design decisions effectively
• Proficiency in design tools and experience with front-end prototyping, especially React. Motion design skills are a plus
