Staff Therapist - Youth and Family

About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tyler, TX. The Staff Therapist – Youth and Family provides individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and their caregivers, using evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with community partners, schools, and other providers. The therapist will engage in case management activities as needed, participate in team meetings and case consultations, and contribute to outreach or education efforts that support youth and family mental health. The role may also involve providing or receiving clinical supervision depending on licensure status and experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments for children, adolescents, and their caregivers.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Coordinate care with community partners, schools, and other providers.
- Engage in case management activities, including service coordination and referrals.
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations.
- Contribute to outreach or education efforts supporting youth and family mental health.
- Provide or receive clinical supervision based on licensure status and experience.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Appropriate state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW under supervision).
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices to youth and family populations.
- Demonstrated skills in Family Therapy, including facilitating family sessions and working with complex family dynamics.
- Experience with Case Management, including coordination of services, referrals, and collaboration with schools and community agencies.
- Ability to provide or participate in Clinical Supervision, supporting ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet regulatory and agency requirements.
- Experience or interest in working with diverse youth and family populations, including those facing trauma, behavioral challenges, or socioeconomic stressors.
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and supervision.
