About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead our Growth pillar programs at Slack, a Salesforce company. The Growth team owns Slack's self-serve revenue funnel and runs numerous parallel experiments to drive ACV. This role requires technical expertise, strong relationships, and the ability to bring structure to strategy, operations, execution, and scope while accelerating and aligning teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic partner to senior product, design, and engineering leadership, building productive and trusting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Run the experiment portfolio, including velocity reporting, collision checks, launch tracking, and quality, while partnering with Data Science and Business Operations to improve processes.
  • Drive feature programs such as global expansion and Slackbot-infused initiatives to improve onboarding and invites.
  • Own quarterly and monthly planning exercises, including exec reviews and roadmap alignment between marketing, product, design, and engineering.
  • Quickly become a domain expert, understanding engineering systems, process flows, dependencies, and risks, while articulating the product end-to-end.
  • Transform high-level goals into logical projects, developing and improving operational strategies, tools, and processes.
  • Build and maintain timelines, project plans, and communication artifacts to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Track end-to-end projects against committed dates and release schedules, proactively managing risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience across Technical Program Management, engineering, and/or growth roles, including leading end-to-end technical programs within dynamic product or engineering organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical technical experience.
  • Applied experience with Agile and Lean product development practices.
  • Mentorship experience, raising the bar for other Technical Program Managers by sharing tools, skills, and practices.
  • Technical capabilities, including building tools to automate manual work (e.g., scripts, SQL dashboards, AI agents) and evaluating AI output for quality.
  • Sufficient technical depth to converse credibly with engineers, scope technical projects, and identify architectural risks.
  • Proven ability to use quantitative metrics and signals to prioritize work, measure impact, assess risk, and document decisions.

Skills

  • Navigating ambiguity, establishing structure, defining workflows, and driving momentum in fluid environments.
  • Cross-functional alignment, leading complex programs with multi-disciplinary teams and competing priorities.
  • Enterprise and executive presence, supporting enterprise deals and customer-facing communication.
  • Process optimization, identifying operational bottlenecks and delivering high-value improvements.
