Staff Systems Engineer - Electrical Calibration
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve system architectures for sustaining and next-generation ECAL platforms.
Serve as technical authority for tradeoffs (accuracy, stability, control, thermals, cost, risk, and supportability).
Guide architecture across Electrical, Firmware, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Service.
Requirements & System Definition
Define, document, and manage system requirements that translate customer, regulatory, and metrology needs into executable designs.
Ensure requirements traceability from concept through verification, production, and sustaining.
Lead system‑level design reviews and provide technical direction on complex or ambiguous problems.
Sustaining Engineering & Lifecycle Stewardship
Provide senior technical leadership for sustaining programs, including component EOL mitigation, factory transfers, performance improvements, and field issue resolution.
Ensure system integrity and calibration performance are preserved across design changes and manufacturing updates.
Act as a key knowledge steward for long‑lived platforms, supporting onboarding and technical continuity.
Quality, Manufacturability & Verification
Ensure system designs are robust, manufacturable, and verifiable, supporting low‑volume / high‑mix production environments.
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams to define test strategies, calibration flows, and service models.
Support verification and validation activities to ensure products meet Fluke standards for accuracy, safety, and reliability.
Cross‑Functional Influence
Collaborate closely with Product Management to align technical decisions with business and customer priorities.
Influence without authority across multiple teams and sites, including global development and manufacturing partners.
Communicate complex system concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
