About the role
As the Manager of Risk Assessment & Compliance, you are responsible for shifting gTech from reactive, manual compliance checks to "compliance by design". You will manage a team of compliance, risk assessment, and business resilience experts. Your core mission is to embed the extensive technical risk knowledge of our compliance, enterprise risk, and resilience specialists into an AI-driven, mixture-of-experts risk solution. You will establish and run data-driven risk decision frameworks to guarantee calibrated escalations. Serving as a trusted advisor, you will steer gTech business process owners who seek policy direction and risk domain expertise across Google’s compliance and enterprise risk structures. You act as a control function to ensure Google’s risk policies are operationalized and support gTech’s business process owners understand the critical need for controls and the broader systemic impact of a control failure.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and scale a team of risk assessment, compliance and business resilience professionals, establishing a culture of operational accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Direct the ongoing strategy to agentify data and process management for the identification and mitigation of high-residual risks.
- Distill complex global regulatory obligations (e.g., Privacy, DMA) into explicit, map-able operational constraints for gTech business processes.
- Govern the Business Resilience Impact Analysis (RIA) program, ensuring critical gTech operations maintain validated continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Partner with the Risk Solutions Engineering team to automate compliance evidence gathering, reducing the manual burden on operations.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
- Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field. 10 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), enterprise risk management, or IT audit. 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role with/without direct reports. Experience managing large-scale GRC platforms and leading enterprise-wide system migrations or process standardizations. Experience in transitioning risk and control data from manual to AI first. Experience operationalizing compliance requirements within high-velocity, engineering, or AI-driven environments.

- Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
