Staff Software Engineer Platform Security

About the role

You will design, build, and operate security infrastructure for a multi-tenant AI platform. You will create secure service paths and infrastructure-as-code, operate security platforms, translate compliance requirements into automated controls, and improve on-call operations, runbooks, and incident learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure multi-tenant infrastructure
• Build secure service templates, libraries, Terraform policies, and automation
• Own infrastructure-as-code and GitOps best practices
• Operate platforms for alerting, detection, secrets management, IAM, and automated remediation
• Translate enterprise and compliance requirements into automated technical controls
• Participate in security on-call
• Improve operability, runbooks, and incident learnings

Requirements

• 8+ years building and operating production infrastructure
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS, including compute, networking, IAM, and security services
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or Ansible
• Coding ability in Python, Go, TypeScript, or another systems language
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tooling
• Experience with secure container deployment, service mesh, and Kubernetes security
• Experience with observability and incident-response tooling
• Written communication and reliable system design skills
