Staff Software Engineer - Mongo & Elastic (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Mongo & Elastic (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will focus on building and supporting software solutions that improve value delivery, enhance productivity, and strengthen alignment across product teams. The engineer will work closely with other technical partners to develop secure, reliable systems while contributing to team growth through mentoring and continuous improvement. This position also offers the opportunity to help shape solutions that support business outcomes in a dynamic retail environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $190,000 annually Responsibilities Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a focus on value delivery Actively pursue personal growth and tackle new challenges Create innovative solutions to enhance organizational success Communicate effectively to ensure alignment within product teams Guide and mentor junior engineers in software development frameworks Identify team productivity gaps and recommend improvements Qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred Experience with search tools, including Elastic Search, Mongo Atlas, and Apache Solr Proficient in fixing security vulnerabilities Experience in Java Spring Boot Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP Ability to write SQL queries against relational databases Benefits No travel required Comfortable indoor working conditions Opportunity for professional development and mentorship Dynamic team environment that fosters skill growth and collaboration Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
