About the Opportunity:The STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER - FILES PLATFORM position focuses on developing and maintaining the enterprise file management platform that enables secure file storage, access control, and third-party integrations for wealth management firms. This role involves designing and implementing distributed, event-driven systems that scale from small advisory firms to large wealth managers, ensuring compliance and reliability. The engineer will address complex challenges in distributed systems and authorization, contributing to the platform's stability, scalability, and innovation. Responsibilities:Architect, implement, and maintain backend services for file storage, permission synchronization, and third-party integrations.Design event-driven systems for real-time permission propagation, meeting compliance requirements.Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, and compliance teams on sensitive data access projects.Lead migration efforts ensuring zero-downtime rollouts.Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.Develop AI-powered features for intelligent file processing and automated workflows.Assess emerging third-party file platform capabilities to enhance offerings. Requirements:Minimum 7 years of professional backend software engineering experience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.Proficiency in server-side languages such as Java, Python, or C++.Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server.Ability to manage complex projects involving cross-team collaboration.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Bonus: Experience with scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.Bonus: Experience working with file system vendors. Pay Range and Compensation Package:Base salary range: $158,000 to $248,000 USD.Compensation includes base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.
