Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own software architecture for significant subsystems
• Lead the design and delivery of complex, cross-team software solutions
• Write high-quality, secure, and maintainable code
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across systems
• Lead technical decision-making
• Perform root-cause analysis on systemic issues
• Partner closely with product, systems, hardware, and manufacturing teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar
• Strong experience in software architecture, system design, and large-scale software integration
• Proven ability to own and evolve complex software subsystems or platforms
• Advanced proficiency with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, cross-system technical issues
• Strong technical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams without formal authority
