About the role

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support the banking and money movement sector. This role requires expertise in backend development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable backend systems using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall codebase quality.
  • Continuously improve existing systems through automation and optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with API design and security best practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in backend development frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Good knowledge of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
