About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of Squarespace products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, and marketing
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance user experience
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies relevant to web development and user interface design

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development or a related field
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in debugging and testing code

Qualifications

  • Experience with front-end development and user interface design
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and practices
  • Experience with databases and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
