Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for the company’s web application
- Collaborate on API design with front-end engineers to enhance functionality
- Establish development best practices such as code reviews and testing
- Work with product teams to translate user needs into backend solutions
- Debug and resolve server-side and database issues
- Monitor and optimize system performance and scalability proactively
- Stay updated on emerging tech and suggest relevant applications in development
Qualifications
- 8 - 10 years of backend development experience with languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including experience with Amazon Redshift
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, RDS, and EC2
- Exposure to container orchestration environments like Kubernetes and tools like Docker
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Pay
$170,000 – $190,000 annually
