Staff Software Engineer, AI Foundations (AI Agent Optimization)

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic coding systems to ensure high-quality outputs
• Maintain and expand knowledge of agentic coding and AI application development patterns
• Take end-to-end ownership of new features and improve developer experience
• Collaborate with AI Foundations team to enhance existing agents and develop new capabilities
• Write public technical documentation for the company concepts and APIs

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional work experience in software engineering
• Proven experience optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques
• Fluency in multiple programming languages, particularly Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go
• Deep experience with concurrent programming and knowledge of concurrency primitives
• Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal, in English

Pay

$224,000 – $302,400 annually
