Staff Software Engineer, AI Foundations (Agent Optimization)

Responsibilities

• Lead agent optimization efforts for the company users
• Design tools to optimize token spend and response time for AI agents
• Collaborate with the AI Foundations team on agentic coding performance
• Take end-to-end ownership of features for reliability and developer experience
• Write technical documentation on the company concepts and APIs
• Debug issues with community feedback on features and APIs
• Support customers directly when engineering expertise is required

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional work experience in software engineering
• Proven experience in optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques
• Deep experience with concurrent programming and safety with primitives like mutexes and atomics
• Fluency in multiple programming languages, specifically Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go
• Experience designing APIs and writing public documentation for libraries or modules
• A strong background in AI application development patterns and techniques
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
